Mattress Removal & Disposal

Ecofurnitures offers mattress-removal services with selected mattress deliveries, subject to the following conditions:

• Removal must be booked and paid for before delivery.
• We will remove one old mattress for each new mattress delivered.
• The old mattress must be the same size as, or smaller than, the new mattress.
• The mattress must be stripped of all bedding, protectors and linen before our delivery team arrives.
• The mattress must be dry, reasonably clean and safe to handle. We will not collect a mattress that has been left outside or that our delivery team considers to have been exposed to weather conditions for more than one day.
• Mattresses affected by bedbugs, mould, bodily fluids, hazardous substances or severe contamination will not be collected.
• The mattress must be placed in an easily accessible collection area before our team arrives, such as a garage, driveway or main entrance doorway.
• For apartments, the mattress must be brought to the building's designated general collection or loading area. Our team will not carry mattresses downstairs, through the apartment building or from an individual apartment to the collection area.
• Customers must ensure the collection area is safe, unobstructed and accessible to the delivery vehicle.
• Our delivery team will not dismantle bed frames or move unrelated furniture.
• If the mattress is not ready in the required collection area or cannot be safely removed, the disposal fee is non-refundable after our team has attended.
• Collected mattresses may be sent to a recycling facility or an approved waste-disposal facility.
• Mattress removal is available only in eligible Melbourne and Geelong metropolitan delivery areas.
• Ecofurnitures may refuse collection where removal could cause injury, property damage or a health and safety risk.
