<h2>1. Delivery areas</h2>
<p>We deliver to all Australian states and territories. Delivery times and costs vary based on your postcode, product size, and weight.</p>

<p style="margin:0">Orders placed by our cut-off time and shipping to an eligible metropolitan postcode are guaranteed to arrive within <strong>3 business days</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Cut-off:</strong> Orders must be placed and paid for by <strong>12:00 PM AEST Monday to Friday</strong>. Orders after cut-off are processed the following business day.</p>
<p><strong>Eligible postcodes:</strong></p>

<li>Melbourne Metro: 3000–3207 and selected outer-metro postcodes</li>
<li>Geelong: 3214–3220 and surrounding</li>
</ul>
<p>If you're unsure whether your postcode is eligible, enter it at checkout — the 3-day option will only appear for guaranteed postcodes.</p>
<p><em>*T&Cs: The 3-day guarantee applies to in-stock items only. Access issues at the delivery address (locked gates, no parking, redelivery required, incorrect address provided) may extend the delivery time. Backorder or pre-order items are excluded.</em></p>

<p>For addresses outside our metro coverage, we ship with <strong>Smart Send, StarTrack, Australia Post, and other freight carriers</strong>, depending on the item size and destination.</p>

<p>These are <strong>estimates only</strong> provided by our carriers — Ecolife does not guarantee arrival dates for shipments outside the 3-day metro service. Actual transit time depends on the carrier, weather, and postcode.</p>

<h2>3. Delivery cost</h2>
<p>Shipping costs are <strong>calculated at checkout</strong> based on your postcode and product weight and dimensions. Enter your address to see the exact cost before you pay.</p>

<li>Melbourne / Geelong metro: flat rates from <strong>$50</strong> (small items) up to <strong>$150</strong> (large multi-carton items)</li>
<li>Interstate: live courier rates based on weight, dimensions, and destination</li>
</ul>
<p>No hidden charges — the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.</p>

<h2>4. Order processing time</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>In-stock items:</strong> dispatched within 1–2 business days of order confirmation.</li>
<li><strong>Made-to-order or pre-order items:</strong> dispatch times are shown on the product page. You'll receive a dispatch confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.</li>
</ul>

<h2>5. Multi-carton items (bed frames and large furniture)</h2>
<p>Some products, especially bed frames, ship in <strong>multiple cartons</strong> for safe handling. All cartons for one product are shipped together but occasionally arrive on separate days — this is normal for large freight.</p>
<p>You will receive one tracking number covering all cartons. If any carton is missing from your delivery, contact us within 24 hours at <a href="mailto:support@ecolifefurniture.com.au">support@ecolifefurniture.com.au</a>.</p>

<h2>6. On delivery day</h2>
<ul>
<li>Our carriers deliver <strong>to the ground floor</strong> at your kerbside, driveway, or front door.</li>
<li>Our carriers <strong>do not</strong> deliver to upper floors, take furniture inside your home, unpack, or remove packaging.</li>
<li>Someone aged 18+ must be present to sign for the delivery.</li>
<li>If no one is home, the carrier may leave a card and reattempt (fees may apply) or return the item to the depot for collection.</li>
<li>Please inspect your delivery before signing. If you see visible packaging damage, note it on the delivery docket and take photos immediately — this protects your ACL rights.</li>

<h2>7. Assembly — please note</h2>

<p>All flat-pack furniture is shipped with assembly instructions and hardware included. You will need to assemble the furniture yourself, or arrange your own handyman/assembler at your cost.</p>
<p>Common tools required: Phillips head screwdriver, Allen key (usually included), sometimes a rubber mallet.</p>
<p>Assembly time varies by product — small nightstands typically take 15–30 minutes; bed frames and larger cabinets can take 60–90 minutes.</p>

<h2>8. Access and delivery considerations</h2>
<p>Before ordering, please check that:</p>
<ul>
<li>The delivery address is accessible for a large truck or van.</li>
<li>Doorways, staircases, and lifts are wide enough for the item's dimensions (check the "Package dimensions" on each product page).</li>
<li>Parking or unloading is available.</li>
<li>Someone can be home during business hours to receive the delivery.</li>
</ul>
<p>If our carrier is unable to complete delivery due to access issues, incorrect address, or absence at the delivery address, redelivery fees may apply, payable by the customer.</p>

<h2>9. Tracking your order</h2>
<p>Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with tracking details. You can also track your order from <strong><a href="/account">Track my order</a></strong> on our site.</p>
<p>For metro deliveries, we may text you a delivery window on the day.</p>

<h2>10. Delivery delays or lost shipments</h2>
<p>Occasionally, deliveries are delayed due to weather, carrier disruption, or public holidays. We will notify you as soon as we become aware of any delay.</p>
<p>If your order does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us at <strong><a href="mailto:support@ecolifefurniture.com.au">support@ecolifefurniture.com.au</a></strong> with your order number. We'll investigate with the carrier and update you within 2 business days.</p>

<h2>11. Damaged in transit</h2>
<p>If your order arrives damaged, do not sign the delivery docket as "received in good condition". Take photos of the damage and packaging, and contact us within <strong>48 hours</strong>. See our <a href="/policies/refund-policy">Refund Policy</a> for full details.</p>

<h2>12. International shipping</h2>
<p>We currently ship only within Australia. We do not offer international delivery.</p>
